Ice Breaking Camp

This event is one of the annual event that organized by Japanese Cultural Society.

The objective of the event are:-

• Promote the fellowship among the Japanese Cultural Society (JCS) new members and also committees.
• To enhance the interaction among the old JCS members and the newbies.
• To strengthen the relationship among the JCS members.

Every year we will choose different location for the ice breaking camp venue for attract more members to join. Couple of activities will be organized during the event for the purpose of make all the participant relationship closer. We had reach the objective of this event every year and more than 50 person joined this event per year in the past.

Bon Odori Trip

Bon Odori is the biggest Japanese event in Malaysia. JCS organize this trip annually.

The objective of this trip are:-

• Expose Japanese Cultural Society (JCS) members and non-members to the Japanese Culture.
• Create better fellowship and improve the relationship among JCS members.

Several Japanese Cultural Dance will be perform and teaches in this event, every participant will have the opportunities to get closer with Japanese Cultural. Japanese Food Fair will be held on the same venue to let all of the participant to taste all the Japanese Cultural Cuisine. Almost more than 100 students participate this trip through JCS in MMU every year.

Japanese Cultural Workshop

Japanese Cultural Workshop organized in the 2nd trimester every academic year.

The objectives of this workshop are:-

• To enhance MMU students' knowledge about Japanese Cultures.
• To build good relationship between JCS members and committees.
• To allow MMU students to experience Japanese cultures such as sushi making, origami, and culture dance.

Couple of Japanese Classes will be open for all the community in MMU such as Obento Class(Cooking Class), Origami Class(Paper Art), and so on. Japanese Cultural Professional invited to be the teacher for the hold Japanese Cultural Workshop.

Carnival of Japan

This event is one of the annually and also biggest event for JCS.

The objectives of the event are:-

• To strengthen the recognition of Japanese culture in MMU community.
• To provide an opportunity of cultural exchange.
• To learn and discover the uniqueness of Japanese culture.
• To accelerate and boost the reciprocation of culture.
• To promote the use of Japanese language.
• To create a relationship between Japanese community and MMU community.
• To provide an opportunity for students to involve in different fields.
• To create self-improvement.
• To introduce Japanese culture in and around MMU

The main objective of this event is to introduce and promote the Japanese culture within the campus and also it’s surrounding. At the same time we also hope to build and strengthen our interconnection between Japan and Malaysia community through collaboration through out this event.

Carnival of Japan is considered as a successful and great event as it has reached its main objective that is to introduce and promote the Japanese culture within the campus and also it’s surrounding and at the same time we also hope to build and strengthen our interconnection between Japan and Malaysia community through collaboration throughout this event.

Japanese Cultural Night

It is consider as one of the annually and also biggest event for JCS.

The Objectives of the event are:-

• To introduce Japanese culture to the community in MMU.
• To provide an opportunity for cultural exchange.
• To learn and discover the uniqueness of Japanese Culture.
• To let the students in MMU have a real exposure and experience of things/event related to Japanese culture.
• For better understanding among the MMU students about the Japanese culture.
• To accelerate and boost the reciprocation of culture.
• To informally introduce Multimedia University to the public through the contacts with organization outside MMU.
• To promote the use of Japanese language.
• To produce the potential students who have leadership characteristic.
• To create self-improvement.

The Japanese Cultural Night will have couple of performances. Some of the performance are from our own committee and also members from the Japanese Cultural Dance Class and some of the performance are from other society in MMU such as Akido Club and so on. The main attraction of the night are the performance form really pure Japanese Cultural Organization-Japan Club. They will send their performers to perform couple of dance.

Organizing Japanese Cultural Night which is one of the leisure and entertainment events can be categorized as a good move to relieve the stress of students and also introduce a beneficial way for members of public to relax while learning something new.
